Loan of books and use of computers were the most 2 popular
COMMUNITY LIBRARY CLOSURES
Number of registered users, number of books loaned, computer access, use by community groups and proximity of other libraries were the most important factors in considering library closures and also concern was raised that libraries must remain accessible by public transport. No clear pattern of usage was identified with 81% of respondents indicating that they use libraries at various times, not at a specific time.
OPENING HOURS
In considering changes to opening hours, key factors were identified as libraries' busy periods and opening hours of nearby libraries
BOOK FUND
Smaller range and longer waiting times were main concerns. Large proportion of respondents suggested that Community Libraries should concentrate on booking lending, computers and events.
