The Masterplan has been amended and will be taken to the City Council's Cabinet for adoption later this year. Heritage issues have been addressed in more detail. Proposals for the A38 will be the subject of future technical work and further public consultation.

Overview

The Snow Hill district is identified in the Big City Plan as an Area of Transformation. A non-statutory Masterplan has been produced to provide a clear development framework for the area, shared with local stakeholders, which will guide future development and investment decisions and maximise the potential of the area. The Snow Hill Masterplan will be adopted as a non-statutory planning document which will provide a detailed framework for the future development and transformation of the area covering the period 2015-2035.

The draft Snow Hill Masterplan has been developed by the City Council in partnership with the Colmore Business Improvement District. The Masterplan has been prepared in parallel with the Snow Hill Interchange Plan (SHIP) and in the context of Birmingham Connected.
