We did

This consultation formed part of a larger project and filtered into decisions made and recommendations for changes to take place. If you require further information please email: phil.burns@birmingham.gov.uk

Results updated 9 May 2013

  1. 25 % Agreement with change to the standard loan period
  2. 25% Would prefer more time to read library books
  3. 15% Would find it difficult to visit libraries during opening hours

Because the results of the consultation were inconclusive, the new Library Management System will be configured to a standard three weeks loan period for an initial 12 month trial. The standard library loan period will then be reviewed in early 2014.
