Overview

Proposal to Make Changes to Beeches Infant School & Beeches Junior School:

Birmingham City Council is consulting on a draft proposal to make the following change to the school(s), a community school located at Beeches Road, Birmingham, B42 2PY:

  • Discontinue Beeches Infants School;
  • Enlarge Beeches Juniors School
  • Alter the age range of Beeches Junior School to 4 – 11 year olds (to include nursery age)

Why your views matter

There is a process that Birmingham City Council/the Governing Board must follow to propose and decide this type of change. The process requires public consultaiton to invite comments from interested parties.

What happens next

The pre-publication consultation will start on 9th June 2025 and close on 11th July 2025.

During this time, anyone may make comments in support or objection to this proposal via the survey link at the bottom of this webpage.

At the end of the consultation period, all responses will be presented to (pre-pub) the Birmingham City Council & Governing Board for consideration for continuing to statutory publication state the decision maker for their consideration*. The decision maker is Birmingham City Council's Cabinet Member for Education, Skills and Culture.

When the decision has been made, the official determination will be published on this webpage with a link to the information about the statutory publication stage will be sent to stakeholders.
