Why we are asking you information about your identity
Birmingham City Council is committed to promoting equality, eliminating unlawful discrimination, and ensuring the diverse communities we serve are represented in our engagement and service planning.

We will not use this information to identify you. It is used only in aggregated or anonymised form to help improve our services and engagement activities.

The information you provide will be handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK GDPR, and in line with the Birmingham City Council Privacy Policy.
We may use anonymised statistics to inform our discussions, decisions and service improvements. No information will be published or used in any way that identifies you.
We collect this information to help us meet our responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010, including understanding representation by characteristics such as age, race, sex and sexual orientation.
