3. Principles – These help guide our plans

Children’s Rights:

Children’s rights are at the heart of this Strategy and underpin all priorities and delivery. We are committed to upholding the rights of children and young people, as set out in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

Youth Voice and Co-production:

We will actively involve young people as partners in shaping decisions, services, and delivery, ensuring their voices, experiences and aspirations influence the policies and systems that affect their lives.

Partnership Working:

We will strengthen partnership working across sectors, ensuring services work together to provide coordinated and joined-up support for young people.

Equity and Reducing Inequalities:

We will focus on reducing inequalities and improving equity, ensuring that support is targeted where it is most needed and that all young people have fair opportunities to thrive.

Together, these principles will shape how partners and young people work together to deliver this Strategy.

Do you agree or disagree with these principles?
