Coach Parking Access Strategy
Overview
Birmingham City Council wants to hear from coach operators and places that welcome coach visitors. We want to better understand what is working well and what the current challenges with coaches travelling to, moving around, or stopping in Birmingham.
Coaches play an important role in supporting tourism, business travel, events, and the wider visitor economy. We want to make sure Birmingham stays an attractive and efficient destination for coaches and the people who use them.
Your answers will help us see where improvements are needed. The survey asks questions about travel routes, places to drop people off and pick them up, and other helpful facilities. Your feedback will help us plan for the future, make things easier for coach drivers, improve the trip for passengers, and support Birmingham’s economy.
UK Shared Prosperity Fund
The UK government has a plan to help make the country better. It has five big goals to improve life for everyone. The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) helps with this plan by giving more power and support to local communities. Its aim is to help grow the economy and create more chances for people across the UK. You can find out more on the UKSPF webpage.
Birmingham City Council receives some of this funding. Part of it, called the Improving Tourism Development Fund, is used to make Birmingham’s tourism places and services better. This work supports Birmingham’s Visitor Destination Plan, which focuses on growing the number of people who visit the city by improving key attractions and facilities.
