Closes 13 Oct 2025

Opened 1 Sep 2025

Overview

Birmingham City Council wishes to dispose of 44,339 square metres of unattached school playing field land at Leaford Unattached School Playing Field, Leaford Road, B33 9TT. The Unattached School Playing Field is a large level playing field with no building on site and has not been used for a significant amount of time.

In order to dispose of this unattahed school playing field land it will be necessary for Birmingham City Council to apply for written consent from the Secretary of State. It is only at that point that we will be able to dispose/change use of this land.

We are consulting all interested parties on this proposed disposal and are interested to receive your comments.

Should approval be given by the Secretary of State to dispose of these fields any proceeds from the disposal of these playing fields will be used to provide alternative sporting facilities in the City.
