East Birmingham Community Food Asset Survey
Overview
The Birmingham Bauhaus Bites programme is part of the EU Horizon 2030 funded Bauhaus Bites project, aiming to address urban food system challenges sustainably and inclusively. One objective is to unite a diverse community through social spaces and food.
With this, we recognise the great food-related community assets in East Birmingham (e.g. kitchens, food growing spaces, social dining, creative arts spaces, indoor or outdoor space) and wish to present them visually on a public online map.
The purpose of this map is for local organisations to understand what community food assets are available in their local area and to encourage collaboration. If you are a space that has a food-related asset in East Birmingham, we would really welcome you to complete the form and support this community map.
More information about the programme can be found at: Birmingham Bauhaus Bites programme webpage
Helpful guidance for completing this survey
To help us build an accurate picture of the community food spaces, we recommend completing this survey while you are in your community space or building. Some questions ask for specific details, such as the number of fridges, accessibility features, or types of activities offered, which may be easier to check in person.
We estimate the form will take between 10-30 minutes to complete, depending on how many asset types you have. You can save your progress and return to the form later if needed.
If you have any questions, the Bauhaus Bites team can be contacted at FoodSystemPH@birmingham.gov.uk
