Colleague Engagement Survey 2025

Overview

Birmingham City Council is in the process of reshaping to improve the way we operate. This survey is a valuable opportunity for colleagues working across the council to share their views, and to help us identify ways to improve the day-to-day experience of our staff.

Why your views matter

The survey is open to all colleagues—this includes permanent employees, agency staff, interim staff, and consultants. It will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes to complete and will help us to:

• understand your experience of working at the council
• identify our strengths and what you think we do well
• identify areas for improvement

The survey is completely anonymous - you won’t be asked to provide your name or email address. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This survey is being analysed by a small number of people within City Observatory - our team of experts in data analysis and insights. We will use this information to identify actions for improvement at both a local directorate and a council-wide level.
