Overview

The Residents' & Community Charter is a document that sets out the Council's offer and commitments to the residents within the Ladywood Estate Regeneration scheme area to ensure the community are treated fairly, offered choices and assured about what you’re entitled to.

We have been listening to and working with the Ladywood community to shape and inform these key areas which have formed the basis of the draft charter:

  • How we communicate and engage with you going forward
  • A fair and effective consultation approach
  • Compensation, rights and entitlements
  • Reflect your priorities and aspirations for your neighbourhood and community
  • Provide as much assurance as possible, at this early stage, around the options for your home
  • Help us to identify things we can action in the meantime which will have a positive impact and
  • Areas we need to work on/develop further to achieve the community priorities you have shared.

The Charter is only in draft form, this means that you have an opportunity to tell us what you like and what you don’t like so we can make changes and issue a final document that is more in line with what the community want to see.

A copy of the charter can be found on the Ladywood section of the Council’s website here: Draft Ladywood Resident and Community Charter | Birmingham City Council

We know that some people may find it difficult to complete a survey like this and we will make sure colleagues will visit face to face where possible, if you are finding this difficult. Please let the contact centre know on 0121 216 1002 if you need support.
