Libraries Consultation- Final Phase 24

Closes 3 Oct 2024

Opened 23 Aug 2024

Overview

Birmingham City Council has a legal duty to provide a comprehensive and efficient library service for all those who “live, work or study and want to access the service” in the city. (Public Libraries and Museums Act 1964). We are currently inviting people who live, work, or study in Birmingham to help shape the future of the library service.

Have your say as libraries consultation final phase:

The final phase of the libraries consultation aims to gain feedback to the options available for the future of Community Library Services.

The final phase includes a summary of the analysed feedback and data collected in the first phase of consultation. It also shares proposed options and a map of the proposed provision on what the library offer could look like for Birmingham based on the data gathered.

Why your views matter

This new online survey aims to capture your feedback of what the future of our library service could look like under the proposed options at each one of our community libraries.

In-person consultations will also take place from 2 September to 26 September. These will be drop-in sessions so you will not need to book to attend.  A list of the in-person consultations can be found attached.

PLEASE READ THE FINAL CONSULTATION PACK BEFORE COMPLETING THIS SURVEY.(Attached at the bottom of this web page, under the title Related)
