Learning Disability Housing Needs and Solutions Appendix- Parents and Carers Questionnaire

Overview

The Public Health Evidence Team at Birmingham City Council are currently working on a report called the ‘Learning Disabilities JSNA Deep Dive Housing Needs and Solutions Appendix’. This will be an appendix to their Learning Disabilities JSNA Deep Dive which was published in 2024 (Learning Disabilities Deep Dive).

The team are interested in collecting the voices of parents and carers supporting citizens with learning disabilities. We would like to hear about your experiences of supporting them with housing. For example, what adaptations their housing has, the process of finding suitable housing, and importantly, how their housing makes them feel and how it impacts their wellbeing. Your insights will be extremely valuable in shaping this report!

Please share as little or as much information as you feel comfortable doing.

Responses provided as part of this questionnaire will be used to inform our report, including through anonymised quotes. All data received by Birmingham City Council, in relation to this research, will be stored in accordance with the data protection guidelines. You can read more about the Privacy Notice here: Privacy Statement.

If you would like more information, please contact Amy Coombs- (Amy.Coombs@birmingham.gov.uk).
