School Streets Phase 5 Evaluation
Overview
In April 2025, 3 more schools in Birmingham closed their roads to motor traffic at the start and the end of the school day and became a School Street (SS). This is the fourth phase of the scheme to reduce congestion and improve air quality at the school gates as well as making it easier and safer to walk or cycle to school.
The schools involved in Phase 5 are:
- Cotteridge Primary (Stirchley)
- The Oval School (Garretts Green)
- Whitehouse Common Primary (Sutton Trinity)
We would like your feedback on the scheme so far. All feedback will be used to help us to monitor and assess the impact of School Streets.
