Overview

This survey has been brought to you by BCT’s Chief Executive and Executive Management Team to support the work of the Equalities and Diversity Manager. It will help us to better understand staff perception and thoughts around equalities, diversity and inclusion matters.

We are keen to hear from staff from all backgrounds – from all ethnicities, roles and grades.

We have a diverse workforce so in our commitment to ensuring we deliver our business equitably, fairly and flexibly we are carrying out this survey to gather the views and opinions of staff to better understand key factors that impacts on relationships and to identify and remove any barriers that can hinder progress.  We want to change the organisation to be actively more supportive, inviting and inclusive.

Completing this survey will help us to gain an insight into our organisational culture; how staff relate to the Trust’s values and how equitable they feel our systems are.

Please take a moment to reflect as you go through the questions as this is an important area of our work that will help to shape our future activities.

The Executive Management Team would like to thank you in advance for completing it. It will take around 10-15 minutes of your time.

All the data you provide is anonymous and is not traceable to you.

You may have recently completed other race surveys however this is the only survey that is being undertaken specifically for the Trust’s workforce and is therefore more relevant to you and the organisation.  Additionally, contrary to other questionnaire’s this survey includes the views of our entire workforce and not just social workers.

Your views are very important and will help to contribute to a significant culture change for the Trust. They will help us to identify what we need to change.  The results will be shared with you via our internal communications in the coming months.

The deadline for this questionnaire is 10th September.

Some questions require a response to proceed. Please provide a response if you feel comfortable doing so. Towards the end of the survey you are given the option to enter your email address if you would like to be emailed a copy of your response. This is completely optional and can be left blank, simply click submit response.  If you do enter your email address this is not received as part of your response.
