Overview
The Birmingham Development Plan (BDP) will become part of the City's statutory planning framework guiding decisions on development and regeneration in the city until 2031. It will set out how and where new homes, jobs, services and infrastructure will be delivered and the type of places and environments that will be created. The Plan will cover the whole adminstrative area of the city.
Why your views matter
The Development Plan is part of a statutory process. An independent Planning inspector will be appointed to hold an eaxmination into the 'soundness' of the Plan. All comments will be considered by the planning inspector as part of the examination.
What happens next
The consultation will close on the 3rd March. Following this a summary of comments will be submitted to the planning inspector and a public inquiry will follow late 2014.
