Overview

Over the last few years the nature of shopping in the City Centre has changed, influenced by a number of factors including the opening of the Bullring and Mailbox, the effects of the recession on spending and the impact of internet shopping on high street sales.

To respond to these changes, the City Council is preparing a Retail Strategy for the City Centre to ensure its attractiveness as a top shopping destination is maintained and strengthened. The strategy will provide a clear vision and set of recommendations for action.
