We did

Following the feedback received during consultation subsequent amendments where undertaken to the scheme. The Full Business Case was approved and the scheme will be completed on site in autumn 2015.

Overview

Birmingham City Council is proposing improvements at the Lichfield Road / Aston Road Junction to reduce congestion and provide capacity for future developments (refer to ‘Lichfield Road/Aston Hall Road Consultation’ plan’).

We are proposing improvements to the signalised junction and a summary of proposals is as follows:

 

  • Demolition of King Edward VII Public House
  • Widening of the Carriageway
  • New Footways
  • Advanced Cycle Lane Provision
  • Extension of Bus Lane
  • Improvement to the Traffic Signals
  • New Road Markings.
