Following the feedback received during the consultation subsequent amendments were undertaken to the scheme. A preferred scheme Full Business Case was approved and the scheme was completed on site in spring 2015.

Overview

Birmingham City Council is working in partnership with Centro to deliver LSTF measures along A441 Pershore Road within the Stirchley Local Centre.

The scheme is part of a larger programme called Smart Network, Smarter Choices which is being delivered across the West Midlands. The scheme within the Stirchley Local Centre includes improvements for pedestrians, cyclists and bus users.

Following the initial public consultation and review of the feedback we are now proposing to extend the 20mph speed limit to include the following roads below:

  • Extend Pershore Road up to Cartland Road
  • Twyning Road
  • Church Drive
  • Ripple Road up to Cartland Road

These are preliminary proposals and may be subject to change depending on the comments received to this consultation.
