Overview
Birmingham City Council are proposing to expand Cherry Oak School as part of the Special School Additional Places programme with effect from 1st September 2015.
Remodelling work of the school’s existing accommodation is required. Additional land has been identified at the school site for building extensions to accommodate additional classrooms and ancillary space for the extra children.
We are proposing to expand Cherry Oak School in order for them admit up to 110 pupils with effect from 1st September 2015.
The School is a Community Special School in the Selly Oak ward within Birmingham. It admits pupils aged 3 – 11 years with statements of special educational needs where the main need is Severe Learning Difficulties. The school can currently offer 76 places.
Full details of the changes are explained in the document below along with a copy of the public notice. We are consulting on the expansion of Dame Ellen Pinsent School at the same time.
