Overview

We are proposing to expand Baskerville School as part of the Special School Additional Places programme.

Remodelling work of the school’s existing accommodation is required. Additional land has been identified at the school site for building extensions to accommodate additional classrooms and ancillary space for the extra children.

We are proposing to expand Baskerville School in order for them to admit up to 118 pupils by September 2016.

The School is a Community Special School in Harborne ward within Birmingham. It admits pupils aged 11 - 19 years with statements of special educational needs or Education, Health & Care Plan of Autistic Spectrum Condition. The school can currently offer 105 places.

We are consulting on four other community special schools and one foundation school at the same time. These expansions are not related to each other and the outcome of each proposal has no impact on any other proposal.
