Overview

Canal & River Trust are planning to make improvements to the existing canal access point at Lincoln Road. Birmingham City Council, are funding the proposed works through the Birmingham Cycle Revolution programme.

Our proposal is to modify the existing steel staircase access (photographed below) which takes people from Lincoln Road to the canal towpath, at the location highlighted in red on the attached plan.

The modifications will include the installation of a cycle wheeling channel, improved steps with anti-slip surfacing, painting and a better handrail.

The improved access will remain in the ownership of Canal & River Trust.

If you have any comments on the proposal, please complete the online survey or email Simon Goacher at Simon.goacher2@canalrivertrust.org.uk or transport.projects@birmingham.gov.uk by the 25th August 2017.
