There was overall support for the 20mph proposals, however there were requests for certain roads to be removed or included in the proposals.

Overview
This consultation is about changes to speed limits in all or parts of Edgbaston, Harborne, Selly Oak and Bournville wards. Before responding, you should look at the maps provided which will tell you the proposed speed limit for each road.
In 2013, we asked everyone in Birmingham about the principle of introducing 20mph speed limits on the city’s roads to improve safety and reduce the number of accidents. This has already been implemented in three areas of the city – City Centre (A1), Central East (A2) and Central South (A3). This is the next area where changes will take place. The purpose of this consultation is to ask local people about the appropriate speed limit for the roads in their area.

What happens next
All comments received for this consultation will help to inform which roads will be included within the scheme. If it is decided to proceed with the statutory Traffic Regulation Order, all residents will receive a letter providing further information.
