Car Free School Streets evaluation (phase 2)
Overview
Since September 2020, roads outside six schools in Birmingham have been closed to motor traffic at the start and end of the school day. This is the second phase of a pilot scheme to reduce congestion and improve air quality at the school gates as well as making it easier and safer to walk or cycle to school.
The schools involved are:
- Anderton Park Primary (Moseley ward)
- Hillstone Primary (Shard End ward)
- Holy Cross Catholic Primary (S'ton Walmley & Minworth ward)
- Somerville Primary (Small Heath ward)
- Woodthorpe J&I (Brandwood & Kings Heath ward)
- Wyndcliffe Primary (Bordesley Green ward)
We would like your feedback on the scheme so far. All feedback will be used to help us to monitor and assess the impact of Car Free School Streets before deciding whether they should be made permanent.
