The Full Business Case for the scheme will be developed and be presented in summer 2016 to the Cabinet Member for approval. Subject to securing all approvals and private land interests the works are programmed to commence on site spring 2017 with works programme duration of 18 months.

Overview

We previously undertook a public consultation on 1st June to seek your views on the above mentioned scheme. We have considered the feedback received and have developed a modified layout for the Albert Road / Northcote Road area.  A summary of the modifications is given below and shown on drawing number CA-02709-S1-020 overleaf: 
 
Access from Albert Road to Station Road via the service road to be restricted to small / medium vehicles only. No access for HGV’s.
Advance signage on Albert Road to advise motorists that no access to Station Road via Albert Road for HGV’s.
Carriageway widening on Northcote Road to allow HGV’s to access to / from Station Road.
Extension of double yellow lines on Northcote Road near to the bend, as shown on the attached plan, to keep this section of the road clear of parked vehicles to enable access for HGV’s.
