We asked

In Autumn 2022, we conducted targeted engagement sessions for different areas of the Kings Heath & Moseley Places for People scheme. We particularly sought feedback from people in the scheme area, and those with a business/organisation in the scheme area on local issues, and how the scheme would work for them.

There was good attendance at the in person engagement sessions and further comments were received via online surveys. A summary of feedback received can be found in the Engagement Report (November 2022), which can be found under the 'Related' heading at the bottom of this page.

We did

Feedback from this informed the Outline Business Case for this scheme, which was approved by Birmingham City Council Cabinet in January 2023. Comments have also been taken into account as part of work to produce designs for a more permanent scheme, building on the existing measures delivered in 2020 and expanding this across a wider area.

Overview

Places for People in Kings Heath & Moseley aims to reduce traffic in residential neighbourhoods so that it is safer for people to walk and cycle, and nicer to be outside for children to play and neighbours to chat.

Following the publication of a revised design for phase two of the scheme, we are seeking feedback from people living or with a business/organisation within the scheme area on some local issues about how the scheme would work close to them. For example, there are some parts of the design where a modal filter is shown on a stretch of road and we would like help in deciding its exact position.

This engagement is mainly taking place face to face, but if you were unable to attend a face to face event, you may use this website to give your feedback.
