Longbridge Connectivity - Farren Road 'No Entry' Proposal

We asked
In October 2015 we asked for your views on further options at the Farren Road/Bristol Road South junction.
The options were as follows:
- Option 1 – Make Farren Road ‘No Entry’ from Bristol Road South for all vehicles
- Option 2 – Make Farren Road ‘No Entry’ from Bristol Road South for vehicles except buses
- Option 3 – Make no changes to the Farren Road / Bristol Road South junction (leave the junction how it is)
- Option 4 – Review the Farren Road / Bristol Road South junction 6 – 12 months after the completion of the junction improvement at the Bristol Road South /Tessal Lane.

We received 117 responses from residents overall via online responses, hand written questionnaires and emails, each with various comments on the proposals.
We did
We have considered all the responses and the results together with the recommendation to proceed with Option 2 were presented in the Full Business Case Report to Cabinet Committee for decision on 8th December 2015. Cabinet's decision was to approve the proposal.

Overview
In July 2015 we carried out consultation on the highway proposals for the junction of Tessall Lane and A38 Bristol Road South, which included a No Entry restriction at the junction of Farren Road and A38 Bristol Road South, as shown on drawing CA-02712_S3_012.
As a result of the feedback received from the July consultation, we are seeking further views on options at the Farren Road / Bristol Road South junction from residents along and near to Farren Road. The options are as follows:
- Option 1 – Make Farren Road ‘No Entry’ from Bristol Road South for all vehicles.
- Option 2 - Make Farren Road ‘No Entry’ from Bristol Road South for vehicles except for buses.
- Option 3 – Make no changes to the Farren Road / Bristol Road South junction (leave the junction as it is).
- Option 4 – Review the Farren Road / Bristol Road South junction 6 – 12 months after the completion of the junction improvements at Bristol Road South / Tessall Lane.
