Overview
Birmingham City Council is consulting on a proposal to expand Maney Hill Primary School by enlargement of the premises to increase the pupil numbers from 210 to 420. Remodelling work is proposed and additional land has been identified for the building of the extension to the school.
Maney Hill Primary School is a community primary school located on Maney Hill Road, Sutton Coldfield within the Sutton Trinity ward of the Sutton Coldfield district.
The school caters for pupils aged 4 to 11.
The school currently operates at 30 places (1 class) per year group.
The school can currently accommodate 240 pupils as they were able to offer an additional 30 places in Reception in September 2015 within existing accommodation.
The proposal is to:
- Expand Maney Hill Primary School by 30 places (one additional form of entry) per year group, taking the school from 30 places to 60 places per year.
These proposed changes will come into effect from 1st September 2016

What happens next

The representation period will run until 15th October 2015.
During this time anyone who wishes to make comments/objections about this proposal should do so via this survey. The proposal including any comments/objections received will be taken to Cabinet Committee for a decision in December 2015.
If the proposal is approved the changes will come into effect from 1st September 2016.
