Selly Oak Library Building Consultation

Closed 13 Apr 2022

Opened 19 Jan 2022

Overview

This consultation is about the future use of the former Selly Oak Library building which is held on charitable trust by Birmingham City Council. The library has been closed for some time and library services now provided at the Sense building nearby. The Council acting as charity trustee needs to decide what to do with the building and is consulting the public about the options available to it. Because the land is charitable, the Council does not have the same freedom that would be available if it were not charitable.

Why your views matter

It is important to the Council, that before it takes any decisions about the future use of the building that the views of the people who live and work in Selly Oak are taken into consideration. Anyone who who has an interest in or might be affected by any changes is encouraged to take part.
