Stirchley Library Consultation

Closed 13 Apr 2022

Opened 19 Jan 2022

Overview

Stirchley library is held on charitable trust by Birmingham City Council as sole trustee. The library will continue to be a library. There is space though for other activities and in recent years Stirchley Art Room has provided volunteers to assist in the operation of the library and also organised art-based activities within the library space, which have proved to be popular and successful. Birmingham City Council would like to continue to support such activities by way of leasing the first floor of the library as a separate space. Combining the library with other community based, educational activities will better safeguard the provision of services to the local community.

Why your views matter

Anyone who has an interest in the library and the activities that take place there are encouraged to participate in the consultation. The Council wants to hear you views so that they can be considered durng the decision making process.
