Overview
Purpose of Survey
As part of the council’s commitment to continuously improve our approach when working with schools, we are carrying out a regular termly survey to understand your (Head Teachers and Chairs of Governors) views. The feedback from surveys will help us monitor, and improve on our performance against what we have stated in the ‘Education and Schools Strategy and Improvement Plan’.
Who Should Respond?
We value your views and honest feedback. We encourage up to two responses from each school (including Voluntary-controlled, Voluntary-aided, Foundation, Free School or Academy):
- one from the Head Teacher / Principal, and,
- one from the Chair of Governors.
Please feel free to discuss this with your Senior Leadership Team and Governors before responding.
Feedback of Findings
We will produce a summary report and share this with you on a termly basis. Data from the last two surveys is being used to provide a baseline from which we can track progress. In addition, the following actions were taken following the feedback we received:
- Creation of dedicated email address education@birmingham.gov.uk
- Review of the use of eBriefing as a communications tool which led to the introduction of the School Noticeboard
We really appreciate you taking the time to respond. It will take around 15-20 minutes and all responses are confidential. By completing the survey you are giving consent for the data you provide to be used for the purposes stated above.
The deadline for completing the survey is 5pm on Friday 18 December 2015.
