Overview

Colebourne Primarey School is a community school for pupils aged 4 - 11 years. The school is located on Stechford Road, Birmingham B34 6NJ (Bromford & Hodge Hill Ward; and Hodge Hill Constituency).

This proposal by Birmingham City Council, in collaboration with the school, is to consult formally  on the addition of nursery provision to Colebourne Primary School by:

  • Altering the lower age limit from 4 years to become 3 years;
  • The age range would become 3 - 11 years;
  • The nursery provision would be added with effect 1st September 2019

Further details of the proposal are in the Full Proposal Document attached at the bottom of this consultation webpage.

Why your views matter

There is a process that must be followed to change the age range of a school to add nursery provision.

Part of the required process is formal public consultation which lasts for 4 weeks (known as the "representation period").

This formal consultation is open from 9th May to 5th June 2019.

We are keen to receive your comments on the proposal and you can comment online here until 5th June 2019.

What happens next

At the end of this formal consultation (representation period) : The "Results" section and the "We asked, you said, we did" section of this web page will be updated with a summary of the responses received. The detailed comments will be anonymised and forwarded with a report to the decision makers at Birmingham City Council. The decision makers will make a decision on the proposal within two months from the end of the representation period (5th August 2019).

We will notify stakeholders of the decision when it has been made and this website will be updated.
