Overview

Grendon Primary School is a community school and nursery for pupils aged 3 - 11 years. The school is located on Grendon Road, Birmingham B14 4RB (Highters Heath Ward and Selly Oak Constituency).

This proposal by Birmingham City Council, in collaboration with the school, is to consult by:

  • Altering the lower age limit from 3 years to age 4 years;
  • The age range would become 4 - 11 years;
  • The nursery provision would be removed with effect 1st September 2020.

This change is being proposed due to:

  • High amount of nursery provsion in the local area;
  • Low number of nursery pupils at the school in recent years;
  • Low pupil numbers affect the amount of funding;
  • Low funding is putting strain on the school budget.

Further details of the proposal are in the Full Proposal Document attached at the bottom of this consultation webpage.
