We asked for views on what medical information people thought should be shared between agencies and what information should remain confidential.
You said
Thank you for your responses. We received twenty six responses to our questionnaire. Fifteen of these had the view that social work staff should have access to GP and hospital records in order to complete a social care assessment or plan support arrangements. Eleven did not support this view and felt that medical information should be of the discretion of the GP

All views and comments received were analysed. The results will be used to inform the work of the Your Care Connected Programme.
Overview
Birmingham City Council are working in partnership working with health colleagues including Hospital trusts and GPs and are progressing a shared vison and approach through the “Your Connect Care programme” and developing a shared care approach to supporting vulnerable people that may require support and care .
This work also includes how the agencies share key information on your health conditions between key staff i.e. social workers, GPs and nurses as part of your assessment and support planning arrangements .
