Overview
Introduction to the Management Health Check Survey
The Social Work Task Force developed a set of 8 standards outlining the core expectations of employers of social workers. Standard 1 includes a “health check” for assessing practice conditions.
Birmingham collated the views of front line staff in relation to practice conditions in Birmingham Adults ASP, in November 2016. This provided very clear feedback and an action plan has been developed to ensure that we respond to the issues raised.
We are due to move into a new operating model and feel it is important to also capture the views of our managers working conditions. This will help us to understand the impact on managers as we move to the new operating model.
This survey is anonymous and your views are really important to us. The survey is not mandatory. We are utilising this process to maximise the numbers of surveys completed in order to get an accurate reflection. The survey closes on 30th September 2017.
The survey will be linked to service areas under each Group Manager.
Your views will be taken seriously. Specific issues identified in a service area will be discussed with the Group Manager and an action plan developed and communicated. Themes identified will be explored by the Standards and well-being sub group with a view to developing solutions. Results will be communicated before the move to the new model.
Please provide your responses in relation to the last 12 months, i.e. the period from 1st September 2016 to 31st August 2017.
Thank you.
