On 9th February 2023 the Governing Body, in exercise of the powers conferred on it, has determined to implement the proposal at Hamilton Special School, as detailed:

  • Alter the age range from 4 – 11 years to 4 – 13 years
  • Effective from 1st September 2023 to 31st August 2025

Proposal to Make Changes to Hamilton School:

Governing Board is consulting on a proposal to make the following change to the school, a Foundation Special school school located at Hamilton Road, Handsworth, Birmingham, B21 8AH

  • Alter the age range from 4 – 11 years to 4 – 13 years.
  • Effective from 1st September 2023 to 31st August 2025.

What happens next

The statutory consultation will start on 10 January 2023 and close on 7 February 2023.

At the end of the consultation period, all responses will be presented to Governing Board for consideration for continuing.  The decision maker is the Governing Board.
