Proposal to Make Changes to Skilts School

Skilts School is a Birmingham community special school located outside the City boundary in Redditch, Worcestershire.

The School can currently offer up to 64 places for pupils aged 4 - 11 years who have a Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) for Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH).

Birmingham City Council, as the local authority for Birmingham, is consulting on a proposal to make certain changes to Skilts School, namely,

  • To increase the number of pupils that can be accommodated from 64 to 90 with effect from 1st January 2020.

  • The new site being proposed is: Hallmoor Road, Birmingham B33 9QY. The new site is 20KM/12.5 miles (straight-line distance)* from the current site and is within the Birmingham City boundary.
