Overview

The school is currently linked with Ark Chamberlain Primary Academy.

At the request of Governing Body of the school, Birmingham City Council is consulting on a proposal to make some changes to St Benedict’s Infant School with effect from 1^st September 2018.

The proposed  changes are explained below;

• Alter the upper age limit from age 7 years to age  11 years with effect from 1^st September 2018.
• The school’s age range will change from 3 – 7 years to become  3 – 11 years.
• The school will become an all through primary school for pupils from Reception through to Year 6.

It is proposed that the admission number will be 60.

The intake year will be Reception; there will be no separate intake in year 3.

Why your views matter

This consultation is pre-statutory (informal) and comments received will be considered against the decision to publish a final proposal.

Anyone who wishes to make comments/objections about this draft proposal should do so via this survey. 

This informal consultation will commence on 15th January 2018 and will run for 4 weeks.

What happens next

There is a statutory process that we must follow to make these sorts of changes to schools. At the moment we are entering the four week consultation stage during which we want to hear your views on the proposal. If, after considering your views the Governing Board and the Local Authority still think it is a good idea, we will publish further proposals and allow four weeks for people to formally comment on them.
