We can confirm that the Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Schools, jointly with the Strategic Director for People, approved this proposal on 30th January 2017.
The Local Authority, in exercise of the powers conferred on it, has determined to implement the proposal as detailed in the published proposal documents.
Overview
PROPOSAL OF THE GOVERNING BODY
St Peter's CE Primary School is a two form entry voluntary controlled school in the Harborne ward within the Edgbaston district of the City.
The Governing Body of the school are consulting on proposals to change the status of the school from voluntary controlled to voluntary aided.
The Governing Body are issuing the proposals to enable them to have more flexibility when making decsions on areas of the curriculum, governance and finance. They are not intending to make any changes to their admission policy.

We are keen to receive your comments on the Governing Body proposal and you can comment online here until 1st December 2016.
What happens next
The consultation will start on 3rd November 2016 and will run until 1st December 2016.
During this time anyone who wishes to make comments/objections about this proposal should do so via this survey.
When the consultation ends all comments will be forwarded along with a report to the Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Schools and the Strategic Director for People for a joint decision as to whether to change the status from voluntary controlled to voluntary aided.
We will advise the outcome of the proposal on this website and on the school website.
Update: The decision makers approved the proposal on 30th January 2017.
