Overview

Proposal to Make Changes to Ward End Primary School:

Birmingham City Council is consulting on a statutory proposal to make the following change to Ward End Primary School, a community school located at Ingleton Road, Birmingham B8 2RA:

  • Establish Special Educaitonal Needs (SEN) provision in a mainstream school
  • Provide a SEN resource base for up to 18 pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) for Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC)

Why your views matter

There is a process that Birmingham City Council must follow to propose and decide this type of change. The process requires public consultaiton to invite comments from interested parties.

What happens next

The consultation will start on Thursday 28th April 2022 and close on 26th May 2022.

During this time, anyone may make comments in support or objection to this proposal via the survey link at the bottom of this webpage.

At the end of the consultation period, all responses were be presented to the decision maker for their consideration*. The decision make is Birmingham City Council's Cabinet Member for Children Young People and Families.

On 22nd July 2022 the Council determined to implement the proposal as approved. The proposal will be implemented 1st September 2022. A link to the decision report can be found at the bottom of this webpage.
