Overview
On 13th February 2015 planning permission was granted for the erection of 7 terraced houses with access and associated parking on land adjacent to The Bagot Arms Public House, Eachelhurst Road, Erdington. This gave rise to a Section 106 agreement contribution as compensation for the loss of a bowling green. The money including the interest accrued, is to be directed towards the provision, improvement and maintenance of sports, recreational and community facilities in Tyburn Ward. Following a consultation, it was agreed to allocate this funding for improvement of existing play facilities in Pype Hayes Park. The works include the provision of a new inclusive rocker and inclusive swings with a circle of musical instruments, benches and safety surfacing.
