17 responses received to this consultation which 16 of them were supportive of the proposed scheme. One negative response preferred to spend the money on other facilties.
Overview
Birmingham City Council is proposing to improve the existing facilities in Turnberry Park.
These proposals will be delivered in 2 different phases when additional funding approved. These proposals for both phases are subject to planning approval and permit from Environment Agency.
The phase 1 proposals include removal of the old games court and installation of new multi-use games area away from the trees, reconstruction of badly damaged paths and improving existing ligting on the main path between the underpass and Forgers Walk. The funding for the Phase1 works would be provided by Birmingham City Council, subject to mentioned approvals above.
The phase 2 proposals include extending the existing toddlers play area with new swings and safety surfacing, and extending the junior play area with new equipment and safety surfacing. These proposals are subject to securing external funding and mentioned approvals above.
