Ageing Well Strategy Consultation Survey

Overview

Birmingham is entering a time of change. More people in our city are getting older, living longer lives, and making valuable contributions in many new ways. The Birmingham Ageing Well Strategy 2026-2036 shows our promise to you: we want Birmingham to be a place where everyone can enjoy growing older with respect, meaning, independence, and strong connections to others.

We are inviting Birmingham residents, families, carers, community groups, employers, and partners to help shape this strategy. We want to:

  1. Listen to your ideas
  2. Improve the draft vision and priorities
  3. Have more people involved in ongoing participation in co-design and community action

After you tell us what you think, we’ll finish the strategy and create an action plan.

Why your views matter

Taking part in the survey gives you a direct say in how Birmingham supports people to age well, helping the Council and partners understand what matters most to residents and carers so they can focus efforts and investment in the right areas, change or add priorities before the strategy is finalised, and make sure the plans work for real people in Birmingham, including those whose voices are often less heard.
