Overview

This survey relates specifically to the following six Children's Centres in Birmingham that are currently being considered for repurposing:

  • Anthony Road Children’s Centre (Hodge Hill)
  • St. Thomas’s Children’s Centre (Ladywood)
  • Bertram Children’s Centre (Ladywood)
  • Tame Valley Children’s Centre (Hodge Hill)
  • Wychall Children’s Centre (Northfield)
  • Featherstone Children’s Centre (Erdington)

This short survey is designed to gather your views on local Children's Centres and Family Hubs. We as the Birmingham City Council and partnership are keen to understand:

  • Your awareness of current services
  • How you and your family use them
  • Your thoughts on potential changes, including the repurposing of Children's Centres

Your feedback is vital in helping us make informed decisions that accurately reflect your the needs and priorities.

By the use of the phrase "repurposing" we are referring to relocating of the services in-scope within the locality or through a different delivery method such as outreach. The services we are referring to are delivered by Birmingham Forward Steps and include family support and childcare advice, parenting support, health visiting stay and play sessions.

Please note that the drop-in session times have been slightly ammended for your convenience based on community feedback we have recieved. From 18th September 2025, morning sessions will now run from 11:30am to 1:30pm, and afternoon sessions will run from 2:30pm to 5:00pm. You’re welcome to drop in at any point during these times to share your views.
