Birmingham Cycle Revolution Works, Bordesley Green East, CV-4
Feedback updated 16 Oct 2014
We asked
For views on a proposal to install a signal (toucan) crossing to offer a safer and more continuous route where the Cole Valley cycle route crosses Bordesley Green Road.
You said
We support the crossing but would prefer a one-stage crossing that is more convenient for pedestrians and cyclists.
We did
A two stage crossing is required, due to the width of the road and to prevent undue delays to other traffic. This will be installed.
Overview
Consulting on a proposal to locate a Toucan crossing on each carriageway directly in front of the entrance/exit of the Cole Valley green route where it meets Bordesley Green East.
This proposal forms part of the Birmingham Cycle Revolution Local Links programme, ensuring canal towpaths and green routes are linked to the other parts of the cycling network.
