The Birmingham Smithfield Masterplan was launched for public consultation on Monday 21st March 2016. The consultation ran for an eight week period until Monday 23rd May 2016 sought your views on the masterplan’s vision for the area.

The masterplan for Birmingham Smithfield received a variety of responses. There was overall support for the masterplan's vision, big moves and development principles.

We did

The Masterplan has been reviewed to reflect your responses. As a result of the feedback received greater emphasis has been placed on the environment and green infrastructure and the importance of the areas’ unique history and character to the future transformation of the site.

Birmingham Smithfield is a once in a generation opportunity to transform this part of the city and deliver a new, vibrant place and we want to hear your thoughts on the masterplan’s vision for the future. The document is out for public consultation for an eight week period between Monday 21st March and Monday 23rd May 2016.
