We asked

The consultation for Shaftmoor Lane / Reddings Lane was carried out in December 2014. We asked for your views on the following proposals:

  • Proposed buildouts on Shaftmore Lane at the intersection with Reddings Lane.
  • Improvements to the existing traffic signs and road markings at the junction.

You said

Although there was an overall acceptance of safety measures being implemented at this junction the point raised during consultation was that traffic signals or a mini round-about may provide a safer solution to tackle the safety issues at the junction by helping the traffic turning into and out of Reddings Lane.

We did

We would like to thank everyone who responded to the consultation. We have reviewed the design of the junction and consider that the proposed design offers the best in terms of safety and capacity. This layout including the changes ti the signs and lines has been approved for implementation in January 2016. If you require further information please email: transport.projects@birmingham.gov.uk.
