Overview

Birmingham City Council plans to deliver parking controls in St Marks area of Ladywood to better manage parking within the area. This will involve the introduction of a number of Traffic Regulations Orders (TROs) details of which are as follows;

To introduce lengths of No Waiting restrictions, Resident Permit Parking bays, Shared Resident and Business Permit Parking bays, Limited Waiting bays and Blue Badge Holder Parking bays on roads in the St Marks area of Ladywood including ST MARKS CRESCENT, ST MARKS STREET, GOODMAN STREET, ANDERTON STREET, KING EDWARDS ROAD, ACORN GROVE, CROSBY CLOSE, DALEY CLOSE, KELSALL CROFT and SHERBORNE GROVE and including parking areas accessed from these roads.

The City Council would like to make residents and businesses aware of the need to re-advertise the above Traffic Regulation Order which was originally advertised in August and September 2018. We are now seeking views on the proposed TROs.

The City Council would like to draw your attention to the attached Notice which clarifies the inclusion of roads which were included in the consultation plans but were omitted in error from the August / September 2018 Notice.

The consultation period runs from Wednesday 13th March to Wednesday 3rd April 2019.

Please note that previously received objections pertaining to roads included in the Notice will be considered alongside any new objections.

Further details of the proposals; drawings, a statement of the Council’s reasons for the proposals and further relevant information, are attached below or may also be examined (by appointment) during normal working hours at:

• Highways, 1 Lancaster Circus Queensway, Birmingham B4 7DQ. (Contact Tanweer Araf Tel: 0121 675 4414, email: transport.projects@birmingham.gov.uk).

Letters are being delivered to households & businesses in the area informing them of this information and process.

When leaving your comments, please indicate/clarify the location(s) and proposed measure(s) you are commenting on.  The easiest way to do this is to include the road names and Drawing Number.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should write to the Traffic Manager at Highways, 1 Lancaster Circus Queensway, Birmingham B4 7DQ stating the grounds for objection by the 3rd April 2019.
