Dementia Letters

Overview

Birmingham City Council and Public Health would like to thank you for taking part in our Dementia Letter Project.

We are asking people to reflect on their current lifestyle and answer a few questions around behaviours that could have an effect on their brain's health. Then, write a letter to a future self with dementia, so we can learn what people think their future would look like if they were living with this condition.

A life with dementia is often viewed negatively and with the number of people developing dementia set to rise, we want to start reshaping thoughts and attitudes towards dementia in more positive ways.

By writing this letter you will be helping us to look at dementia in new ways and could even improve the lives of those living with dementia right now.

Your participation is entirely voluntary, and you can withdraw at any time. All responses are confidential and anonymous and all data will be treated in accordance with GDPR and in line with Birmingham City Council's privacy statement
