Service User feedback on thr service provided by Birmingham City Councils Bereravement Services
You said
1) Witton - Request for café, vending machine
2) Handsworth - Request for extended opening hours in evenings
3) Request for Muslim graves to have bricks around the grave onto which slabs can be laid.
4) Lodge hill - Gift aid envelopes were removed from the collection plate.
We did
1) Witton - Request for café, vending machine
This is not feasible
2) Handsworth - Request for extended opening hours in evenings
During summer site is open until after 6.00 at weekends. Opening times to be reviewed.
3) Request for Muslim graves to have bricks around the grave onto which slabs can be laid.
Costs have risen significantly over last 10 years.
Fees and charges are reviewed annually and agreed by cabinet member.
Suggestion to be considered.
4) Lodge Hill - Gift aid envelopes were removed from the collection plate.
Any collection is the responsibility of the FD. Matter passed onto FD. Staff to be vigilant.

Overview
This is aimed at gathering service users views/comments relating to burial and cremation services provided by Birmingham City Council. Collected information will help develop future service improvements within cemeteries and crematoria. Results of the user satisfaction levels from 10 consultation exercises will contribute to the services performance indicators and will be widely published.
